Volvo Vida Dice Description:
DICE - Diagnostic Communication Equipment, is a tool that is used together with VIDA Online & an active vida subscription to communicate with the vehicle.
Communication makes diagnosing and troubleshooting the vehicle possible, as well as downloading software for new modules also allowing service functions.
DICE has an integrated OBD cable, which is connected to the vehicle's diagnostic socket. When connecting to the vehicle,
VCI incorporates a folding hook that is designed for hanging the unit.
VCI is equipped with four status LEDs that indicate the status of the software, the USB and Bluetooth communication and the interface to the car.
At the back end of the unit, there is a DC input where a battery cable or adaptor(12V) can be connected. The adaptor is used when upgrading firmware. and for connecting the Mini USB right angled cable.
At the other end of the unit, there is a removable cover that could be removed by turning the screw on the cover this is for connecting the Mini USB right angled cable.
Please note
That no third party Bluetooth dongles can be used with DICE, only the original DICE equipment can be used.
This interface is for use with vehicle from 2000 to 2019 and will not communicate on DOIP protocols, you will need to purchase the Ethernet OBD & cable for this.
