BMW KEY READER PLUS DESKTOP
Please ensure that you have properly installed and set up the drivers required for using the KeyReader or KeyReader Plus. You will find information about this in the installation guide on this page. In order to read in vehicle keys, you must connect a KeyReader or KeyReader Plus to your computer. Reading in a vehicle key works independently of KaSIO. Once you insert a vehicle key in the KeyReader or KeyReader Plus, the binary key data (as of Service Interval Indicator 3) are automatically interpreted. An acoustic signal in the KeyReader or KeyReader Plus informs you that the read process is completed. The key data can be displayed in KaSIO after a short delay. After the entry is written in the electronic service history, this is not yet displayed in the vehicle. You can trigger the transfer of the entry to the vehicle using the ISTA application. The home page of the ISTA application gives you detailed information about this. Please note that not every vehicle supports the display of the electronic service history in the vehicle. BMW Service Inclusive contracts are not considered in the interpretation. If there are Technical Campaigns for a vehicle, please inform the customer if necessary that these measures can be carried out free of charge in a BMW workshop.
